We are celebrating 31 years of Oxford’s annual Summer Concert Series! Get ready to celebrate the beginning of no school and long, sunny days with this community favorite.
The Summer Concert Series takes place every Thursday night from June 1 to August 31. Families gather in Uptown Park with lawn chairs and picnic foods, ready for another memorable summer evening. The series consists of 15 consecutive weeks of concerts, with a variety of musical genres and bands.
For the first concert of the summer, we are welcoming back our very own Ryan Broshear Band for an evening of live music this Thursday, June 1st, from 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.. Broshear currently lives and performs in Nashville, but will return to our small town of Oxford to relive his farm boy childhood for a night. His country songs express feelings anywhere from falling in love to chasing dreams to any man’s best friend, his dog.
To celebrate our series kick off, Miami Athletics will also be joining us and hosting a Fan Fest starting at 6pm. Head uptown early and toss a football and play kid friendly lawn games with our Miami Athletes and chat with local coaches.
These concerts are made possible by our local businesses so be sure to say THANK YOU to Butler Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc for sponsoring tonight’s concert and making this event possible.
We’ll see you Thursday!
