We're excited for the 3rd season of Red Brick Fridays, an outdoor experience that allows you to support your favorite Oxford businesses while spreading out on the bricks! That's right, during these themed Fridays the city will be "expanding" the sidewalks by closing ALL of High Street (Beech St. to Campus Ave.) so that you can walk right down the middle of the road on our iconic red bricks.

From 6 PM - 10 PM, participating businesses will set up tables on the sidewalks and in parking spots on High Street with select items for sale, from food to retail. We're encouraging each business to play some music from their individual tables so as you walk from one end of High Street to the other, going table to table, you'll enjoy a unique, ever-changing musical experience!

When?

Red Brick Fridays will take place four times this summer:

• June 10th - Alumni Weekend Edition
• July 1st - Red Light, Green Light
• August 5th - Oxford Dog Days
• August 26th - Welcome Back

RBF "Alumni Weekend" Edition

Recap: The 2022 series kicked off on June 10th with the debut of the Miami University Alumni Association partnering with the City of Oxford, Enjoy Oxford and the Oxford Chamber of Commerce for the Alumni Weekend edition! As added fun for the evening, "Remember When" sandwich board signs were displayed at select locations in the uptown with a social media photo challenge, Oxford Parks & Recreation set up yard games (the Gaga Pit was happening!), several food trucks, and a favorite Alum, Miss Jacque and band, provided live entertainment playing all the favorite covers.

RBF "Red Light, Green Light" Edition

Recap: the Red Light, Green Light Edition on July 1st lead into Oxford's Freedom Festival Celebrations. Bicycle helmet fittings, hippity-hop races down High Street (a first!), and Art in the Park began (supplies provided by City of Oxford).

RBF "Oxford Dog Days" Edition

Next up: Join us Uptown Oxford on August 5th for local retail therapy for all those Dog Days sidewalk sales and more doggie fun:

• Dog Parade- line up at You're Fired near Beech Street at 6:15 PM with the parade at 6:30 PM.
• Dog Contest- prizes for tallest dog, longest dog, shortest tail, and best costume. Contact Jennifer Marston at Animal Care Clinic to enter your dog in the parade (513) 523-5272 or jennifer@accoxford.com.
• Team Zoom returns this year to perform a fantastic dog show for you at 7:30 PM with a meet & greet immediately following.

There will be live music on the pavilion stage throughout the evening between dog events by Oxford Folk Jazz. Walk, shop, eat and support local all in one evening. Remember to brush up on Oxford's Outdoor Refreshment Area.

RBF "Streets and Eats"

On August 26th, celebrate the beginning of the academic year for all students in our community. From 6:00pm to 10:00pm participating businesses will set up tables on the sidewalks and in parking spots on High Street with select items for sale, from food to retail. There will be a variety of fun activities such as a giant Hungry Hungry Hippo game, an inflatable obstacle course, a giant zipline and more! There will also be a musical performance by The Wonderlands Band, food trucks, and sidewalk sales. Come join in on the fun!
