Ongoing Events Throughout The Month

·        McDonald’s KidsSkate Lessons – MU Goggin Ice Center offers group ice skating lessons for all ages and all levels.  Call 529-9800 for our lesson brochure or visit the web at www.ice.muohio.edu.

·        September 13-24 – Oxford 22nd Annual Masters Games, Oxford Seniors-922 Tollgate Drive.  Two weeks of 19 game events for people 50 years old or older.  Come test your skills in horseshoes, cribbage, badminton, golf, etc.  Cost: $9.00 if registered by 8/27/10; $12.00 by 9/3/10.  Call for Sabrina Jewell or Jennifer Marcum at 523-8100 for times & locations of events.

·        Monday-Friday (By Appointment) – Screening Vascular Ultrasound, McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.  Benefits of Vascular Ultrasound Screenings to show the presence of disease in the aorta, abdominal, carotid, and leg arteries.  Early detection of disease that allows for more treatment options which could be less invasive to help you avoid possible stroke, heart disease, or even death.  For more information, contact the Imaging Department at 513-524-5361.  To schedule an appointment, call 513-524-5555.

·        Tuesdays:

·        By Appointment – September 7, 14, 21, 28 – Women’s Half Day of Health, McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.  The program is designed to allow women to have all needed health screenings during one convenient visit.  You must be 40 years old to participate.  Program includes gynecological exam and PAP smear, mammogram, DEXA (bone scan), screening lab work, healthy light breakfast and massage.  Cost: $20.  To make an appointment and for more information, contact Outpatient Scheduling at 524-5555.
