 206-foot span built in 1869 over Four Mile (Talawanda) Creek; this is the only covered bridge in Butler County remaining in its original location (restored in 2000). Bicentennial marker and explanation on site.

Park-like area on Miami's campus offers a picnic area, pond and flowers.  Dogwood Grove available for rental.

DeWitt Log Homestead, State Route 73, Oxford Museum Association, 523-8005
Homestead along Four Mile Creek.  Approximate age is 1805.  Two-story log structure constructed by early settlers from New Jersey by way of Kentucky.  This house is now the oldest structure in Butler County.

Disc Golf, discs and maps are available at the Recreational Sports Center, 700 S. Oak St., 529-1991
Essentially the same idea as regular golf, except that instead of a ball and clubs, a special disc (Frisbee) is used.  The object, like regular golf, is to reach the "green" and put the disc in the "hole" in few shots as possible.  In disc golf the hole is a pole with a basket that sits about 3 feet off the ground.

Freedom Summer Memorial, on Miami's Historical Western Campus, 529-8309
This memorial commemorates civil rights workers who trained here in 1964.  Three of these workers were later found murdered in Mississippi.

GMR Riversports, East Miami River Road (Colerain Township), 907-4301
A canoe and kayak livery that operates on the Great Miami River.  We are the first and only livery to open on this portion of the Great Miami.  Currently we offer a 7.5 mile 4 hour tour; we shuttle our guests from our location on E. Miami River Road to the last low head dam in Hamilton.  This is an exciting trip with lots of wildlife!  Just a short drive south on SR 27 from Oxford!

Goggin Ice Center, 610 S. Oak St., 529-9800
This year-round facility offers the nation's largest intramural ice program, two varsity sports programs (both Miami Ice Hockey and Miami Synchronized Skating teams train here), the Oxford Skating Club, Butler County Youth Hockey and three adult hockey groups.  Public skating and private ice rentals are available with meeting facilities.  We offer group and private skating lessons as well as a "Learn to Play Hockey" program.  Summer offerings include camps for hockey, figure and synchronized skaters.

Hiking, biking, marina with boat rentals, fishing, swimming, (public beach), camping, & picnicking.  635 acre lake, large mouth bass, channel catfish, and bluegill.  Anglers 16 years of age and older will need valid Ohio fishing license.

Scenic 18-hole, par 72 championship public golf course with four sets of tees.  Amenities include riding carts, driving range, large putting green and full service pro shop with golf merchandise and snack bar.  Discounted rates offered daily and groups of all sizes welcome.

Founded in 2001, the Oxford Community Arts Center mission is to restore and maintain historic Oxford College as a permanent home for the arts in the Oxford area, to facilitate activities of community arts organizations, and to promote the arts and arts education.  The OCAC is a not-for-profit organization representing performing and visual community arts groups who wish to rehearse, perform, display and teach their various art and craft forms in a facility that represents a permanent home for the community arts.  Camera and equipment are also available for rental.  Hours vary depending on programs scheduled.  www.oxarts.org

Oxford Skate Park, located on the Tri Community Center Grounds, 523-6314
Geared for beginner and intermediate level participants, this park was created for the use of skateboards and in-line skates.  The park is free and open to the public.  Protective gear is highly recommended (helmets, knee, wrist and elbow pads).  Know your abilities and skate within them.  Unsupervised - Skate At Your Own Risk.

Includes commercial, residential, recreational, and religious sites.  This self-guided walking tour covers a twelve-block area and provides brief descriptions of the historic and architectural significance of more than 100 sites.
